actually hate Bellerin almost as much as Ramsey

Bellerin as wing back is crud. Still passable as a right back. I am all in favour getting Nelson in as quickly as possible.

Just jettison Debuchy and those with no value.

Well that's the problem. Some idiot decided to give these guys long contracts with wages in excess of what they're worth...

so half the squad then

Nah. Look at Gibbs. Hasn't really started last season. Still got £7m rising to £12m. Debuchy? No one wants him on loan.

Which is nothing in today's market. Spurs managed to get £17m for Wimmer. Lots of average Championship players selling for £10m+ to lower PL clubs. And mid-table players exchanging clubs for £25-30m these days.
What transfer climate? The big money is going on big profile players. We got Kolsanic for nothing.
Inflation is in the top of the market.

We don't know how much of these fees are actually money and how much is bonuses.
Jim White suggested a couple of days ago the fee is actually rising to £12m. We don't divulge fees, and WBA would obviously prefer to announce the lesser amount.
Personally I don't like the way Wenger does it by marginalising players so he doesn't get flack if they do well elsewhere. Gibbs should have gone last season after Wenger lost faith in him and we would have got £20m.

Look through here:

See how many average players are going for £10m+. Players I've never heard of too.
We definitely got way less than market value for Gibbs but that's probably because we're desperate to sell. We have a bloated squad and getting players off the pay roll is taking priority over the fee.
All in all terrible squad planning. Can't believe after such a shambles every transfer market we STILL haven't brought in a DoF. Well, actually I can - Wenger said no and overruled Gazidis.
If he had any sense of professional pride he'd have gone a long time ago. I don't buy the argument that he loves the club and Kroenke is the one to blame for offering him a new contract. Wenger holds incredible power at the club and abuses it to keep himself in the job.

Agree with you. Not defending how Wenger does business after all I have been moaning about it for years.
But my point is still valid. A lot of this is about profile. Wenger dithering is a big hindrance to players coming in and those going out. You have real problem shifting players when they are not in other managers minds!
