Lex swoops in for the kill. Ruthless.
Oops. Did I just do a merk?
How did it turn out to be true? They gave him a two year contract cause obviously there was no structure for succession! Ideally he would have served two years and quit when he got us back to the CL and had one more crack at the title next season. Or why would they give him £130m to spend on Xhaka, mustafi and Lacazette) after failing to sign Mbappe for £105m!. But it fell apart quicker than they believed it would (anyone sensible with a half a brain would have never given him an extension after supporters were paying for planes calling for his head).

Yeah, so exactly like i said:
"It was officially 2 years but unofficially it was a year and "we'll see how we do"."
A year almost done. Early assessment is it's not going to plan, so cheers Arsene we'll take it from here.

Wish you were my boss and gave me £9m for doing d!ck.
Have to say I agree with Seebs here. I always suspected the two year extension wasn't the full story. Just as Wenger used to put 30+ players on rolling contracts, I reckon that what the board did to him last summer.
There was a split in opinion about whether to back him. A rolling contract would've been a workable compromise.

He won't get that £9m though.
You could probably get £9 for 'doing d!ck' though.
But it wasn't a rolling contract was it? It was a two year extension.

Anything about getting the sack in those two reputable media outlets? Nope.
So Arsenal were lying to their shareholders and thats not illegal or anything.

Only thy BBC.
Wenger: Hello, Alex, would you like to come and play for me next season?
Laca: Erm... aren't you leaving soon?
Wenger: Two years time, mate, two years time.
Laca: You selling that pr!ck Giroud this summer?
Wenger: Yes. Definitely.
Giroud : The greatest back up in history. And also performed great fellatio for Wenger.
I mean come on. You actually think a board who offered a man a two year extension after failure of getting top 4, off field mass protests, empty stadiums, and consistent batterings from top european/pl clubs would actually sack him 8 months later without Wenger's approval??
