Yeah, I thought so at the time when the news first came out. Not surprising really after Wenger splashed out £100m+ on Lacazette and Aubameyang.
But fees are amortized over the length of the contract. I say a calculation which showed Torreira cost exactly the amount that we saved on Wilshere and Cazorla so most of the £50m is probably still available.

I think we have £35m available on a star wide player.
So most contracts are 3 years. £10m wages for a top top class player. Leaves £25m amortized over 3 years, suggests £75m on a wide player.
That puts us in the range for a Dembele type high profile player.
Just noticed he only recently signed permanently for Juve. FFS

Reckon that's before or after any sales/saved wages from loans?

Yeah. Expect Ospina, Welbeck and others to go. Players coming in wages are far far LOWER than what Wenger was offering.

Cech only has a year left. Personally would get rid of Cech and Ospina. Leno is obviously our new numero uno.

No thanks I don't trust eastern europeans who have an odd good international tournament.
So what did we win with Arshavin? Sent out on loan because of a string of poor performances and then sold.
