I am not good at stats but is that right that Liverpool's improvement havent only come from selling players like Coutinho, Suarez?

A serious question here
RB Leipzig have told Timo Werner he'll be sold if he doesn't sign a new deal. Not willing to lose him on a free. All signs point to an exit in 6 months time.

Before last summer, our transfer business had been so poor. It all looks particularly scattershot now.

Getting a ridiculous fee for Coutinho basically set them up for where they are now.
Looking like the best piece of PL business by any club in recent memory.

And held on to Ramsey and Wilshere until we got nothing for either of them

No doubt about that, Lex. But as I read the Swiss rumble numbers it's more than a myth that they all finance their improvemt with the sell of Coutinho and Suarez.
Not to mention 'swapping' Alexis for Mhki and agreeing to pay him £200k pw

Really liked Jack but that decision of Emery was spot on.

Think most Liverpool supporters seem to like their owners.
Only supporters that do so are ones where investment is made. We certainly don't have owners that invest.
If they recycle funds generated, we count ourselves lucky.

Alexis doesnt wanted to sign a new contract. Wenger hoped until the last months to convinced him to stay but he refused. To change players with United was the best business we could make in that situation. City who were also in for Alexis refused to do equally business with us.
Wenger thought/hoped playing under him at Arsenal was still a bigger pull than it had become.
Ozil, Alexis, Ramsey and now Mhki all mugged us off.

Tbh I'd rather look for bargains than just buying random decent players that we've no real need for, merely because they were available.
