where have people got this impression that Ceballos can play that role. He plays deeper for Spain U21 and Madrid.

Didn't like him not getting rid of Ozil to Qatar. Got to give him a chance and couple of windows.

i can kinda understand why he kept him. we have very few creative players in our team. and ozil, on paper or by reputation at least, is creative.

You need to be able to get on the ball though to show your talent. And we are slow in transitions that his only options are to go back when he receives it. I'd persevere with Willock over Ozil at the moment.

i agree, but willock has blown hot and cold when he's started in the prem. he's shone in the EL, League Cup and FA Cup. hasn't quite had the same impact as a starter for us.

tbh though, the league season is effectively over anyway. ozil isn't our future, willock is. may as well start willock more to ready him for next season.

As I was saying on the match thread. No.10 is for older players. So I don't expect Willock to be able to put his foot on the ball and control the game. Even the goat Zidane couldn't do that till 24+. But what he can do is drive the ball from a very slow CM to add pace through the middle. Usually a box-to-box player would do that from defence to attack but we don't have one of those in the squad.

We have a reputation of whinging foreigners. Dyche plays the xenophobic card to his heart content to get decisions. Burnley constantly foul and play the long ball so need the refs on their side.
