Oh wait that was Lord harris. Is he still on the board?
Have to be honest lads, I look at our squad and it's barely top 6 material at all (even factoring in our exceptionally poor form this season).
We're either going to need the management and staff to drastically overperform in their duties, youth players to make the step up as quickly as possible or we're going to need KSE to be a bit more involved in the day-to-day operations than they have been.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
He was appointed as non-executive director in 2005 and is still at the club, yes.
What is it that these 75+ year olds are offering to benefit the club exactly? I don't actually understand what purpose they serve in reality.

Yep.
The Arsenal board now consists of Stan Kroenke, Josh Kroenke, Lord Harris, Bob Harris, Pat Rice, Tony The Tiger and Ken Friar.

Disgusted you have dragged 'tony the tiger' into what is obviously a very political matter. Special advisers need to be protected from scrutiny.

Non-execs don't really have much influence in organisations that don't have 1 sole shareholder so even more redundant for us

Do you really believe a bunch of old men who are on the verge of retiring have the best interests of Arsenal at heart? Are they still sharp enough to make proactive decisions when necessary?
I have my doubts.
What err... What in my post made you think that's what I was saying?
Well age has been proven not to be reason in the past - Dein, Bracewell-Smith etc... none of them made decisions that weren't in Arsenal's best interests because of their ages.
Anyway, however effective he was or wasn't anymore, Sir Chips was an 'Arsenal man' and it was important to have that kind of chap round the place.
Easy to take a club's traditions lightly, but once gone, they're pretty much gone for good.
So the remaining 92 games are to be televised. Of those, how many do you think you'll all be watching?
