In fairness, it’s an important game tonight.

More important than any of the remaining first team matches, for sure.

Well if we're selling Eddie it makes sense to put him in the shop window

I really hope we don't spend £35m on him ffs. But knowing us, we probably will.

They’ll probably accept circa £25m.

Provided it’s paid up front.

And we agree to him spending a season on loan with them.

Which of course we’ll do.

There are grumbles behind the scenes about Arteta’s man-management, with the suggestion being that his external communication to the media, to the executives is more impressive than the communication with some of his players. [@SamJDean]

Imagine my shock.

He doesn’t need to command respect from the executive nor the media.
He obviously doing the wrong way with the players but I guess that’s what he’s trying to do

This is not to say that Arteta has lost the group. Far from it. A string of key players, such as Tierney, Bukayo Saka have strong connections with their manager, and there is no sign of the total breakdown that preceded Emery’s sacking in November 2019.

Starting to think we may as well keep him given the HG thing and the lack of other options. That said, he just keeps adding to his price tag and there's just something in my mind that tells me he won't make it at the level we wanna be.

4 - Joe Willock is the first Newcastle player to score in four consecutive Premier League matches since Papiss Cissé in April 2012 (6 games), while at 21 years of age he's overtaken Andy Cole as the youngest player to do so for the club. Streak.
