Good to see him looking good again today too. He could develop into a solid striker. Unfortunately I just don’t think many sides have room for three striking projects at the same time.

Martinelli, Balogun and Nketiah is one too many.

Where was Balogun today?

We should be more worried about players like Torreira, Kolasinac and Willian still at the club.

I'm not sure people are getting worked up over anything but the same performances as last season, Lex. I've not watched any of the per season games. But those that have consistently say we're pretty much the same as last season; kinda meh offensively dotted with individual mistakes.

Perhaps people are rightly questioning how Arteta will try to resolve the issues we had last season.

I'm one of those mugs that still think Xhaka will leave. All talk of contract extensions and how vital he is is just posturing to pressure Roma.

Xhaka staying as first team midfielder will mean the same season as last the 5 (Arsenal FC steady decline)

Xhaka won't stay to be backup though I don't think. I imagine he'd go from leader to pain in the dressing room

Does he have a choice? Roma valued him at £12m. That's a pretty big slap in the face to all his fangirls who rate him as one of Europe's best midfielders.

Nah, Xhaka will happily take a payrise because he knows he won't get a better contract anywhere else.
