Auba to Roma on loan. Us paying half his wages.

Cannot believe facking Brentford pressed us all game and we didn't pick them apart. Even passed it Wenger would have dismantled them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That is one thing.

We would have drawn the game if we werent doing silly mistakes.

Any player, even Elite ones make mistakes. Mediocre players make mistakes more often. We're stocked with them.

I know Auba had a down season last year but if we ship him of I don't know who is going to score the goals. We will be in a relegation battle if that happens.

The Athletic saying that Willock wanted another loan instead he got sold.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A loan would've left him with a year on his contract. If he'd had an average season at Newcastle it could've left us with an even tougher decision to make next summer, for less reward.

I hope WIllock goes on to have a great career. Still won't make it the wrong decision to sell him this summer.

Phase 7 of the annual transfer window at Arsenal begins. Not adressed any issue we have and clubs know we are getting desperate now. Key signing already made and payed 50M. Arsenal in trouble and clubs knowing it. Spend even more money on players now on high wages. Ten minutes before the TW closes we get Odegaard in. A guy we seem to be interested the whole long summer.

Odegaard wont change our issues.

Joe is better off out of this mess. Chance for his career to really kick off. I understand him wanting a loan. Arteta is heading for a swift exit, even before my prediction at November

What difference would that make? We would know Willock is not going to develop. Much better that and lose £10m in his value than letting go of the next Lampard.

My view is that we had to sell him because currently he was the only player to bring some fresh money in. The guy is young enough to create a re sell worth. Why not given him a new contract and send him on loan. With young guys you have to take risks at times. To sell him because he is the only sellable option doesnt feel right.

C'mon, at that age Lampard was moving to Chelsea, not Newcastle.

I genuinely just don't know what we can do from here. Decent owners would've got rid of emery after the final, decent owners would've got rid of arteta after our performances Vs Villarreal. I don't even know who we can go for. People saying Conte, he ain't signing up for this mess.

And we've just splashed 50m on this Ben white, who looks like he'd piiiiss himself walking past a group of hooded youths.

I'm happy we have £22m in the bank for Willock. Chance for Arteta to piiss it away on some average player and then play him in a system that suits no one.

Exactly.

He's effectively our marquee sale this summer.

Sure. And he may not develop. But what if he does have that break out season? Look at our circumstances. There is no chance we would be able attract that quality of player.

The whole Emi and Ramsdale business should have been lesson in that.

Decent owners would said 'thanks for the memories' two or three seasons before they eventually did too. Still convinced Wenger would still be Arsenal manager but for the fans demanding change.

They also allowed Gazidis to do nothing. Raul to steal from us. Invited a super agent into the inner sanctum. Appointed three guys who've never performed the role they're expected to. At pretty much the same time.

I realise things aren't going to change anytime soon with them. That's why I try to see positives elsewhere. But even I have a tipping point.

TBH, people say Ødegaard won't change things, but his signing did exactly that. His attack play in possession was excellent. Add a few more assists and goals and we have a special player.

Now replace Arteta with a half competent manager, then watch Ødegaard (and the rest of the squad) push on.

Arsenal have lucked into Conte being available. He will demand £15m+. But frankly they should give it to him. Its far cheaper than the money KSE will have to spend to dig us out the mess of buying poor quality players at inflated prices and then changing manager.

I doubt Locatelli would have said no to us if Conte was in charge.

We can't keep them all though. Plus we're already in danger of having a second successive season where we can't register all of our first team players.

Something has to give.

You think things can't get worse with Arteta? Just watch a replay of last nights match. We weren't playing City.
