Chelsea won the CL because they have lots of deadwood they can't sell? I guess so.

Chelsea won the CL because they have done a good job over years now and they dealed with the deadwood they have at their club.
At Arsenal we play the deadwood.

Because the players we sign turn out to be worse than the deadwood rather than us not signing anyone.
Kovacic and Jorginho were both "deadwood" at Chelsea, according to many.

Gt, Serial wrote above quoting from twitter ITKs that we have been following him for a while and were waiting till Bellerin was sold.
Obviously that was the last straw for AMN and he put out that message on Instagram.
That means he was not a panic signing.
Now what do we do with Cedric and Chambers? There is a case for keeping Chambers as backup CM or RB.
Oh right €20m + €3m. Not bad, given his age, I suppose.
Only issue I have is apparently Arteta was very closely involved in this deal and pushed hard for it. And we all know about the quality of Arteta's judgement..

I am not denying we made errors in the transfer windows. Just listen to a podcast where the Clive account from twitter talked about the Xhaka contract.
He said the way we extend his contract shows the way how we operate as a club. Other clubs called us out on the transfer market. They know we are desperate.

Not sure it would make a difference, Serial. He is highly thought off and young. So its not as if a new man (if it comes to that) will not use him.
Sad that its cost us AMN who was on the edges of the England team as a fullback and obviously had the potential to be starter for us.
That will be my only regret of the 'Arteta' transfer window if AMN and Willock develop.

Its pretty clear upper management would have got rid of Arteta by now if he wasn't protected by the Kroenkes.

Hector recognised that he as to improve and take into account to earn less at Betis to do so. Hope he loan will be a big success. Top bloke.
