Saliba is still better than Holding & Chambers imo so no reason why a new manager can't bring him in next season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The club backed Artitler completely to treat this guy like dirt. I don’t think a change of manager is gonna lead to Saliba waltzing back to the club to sign a new contract. He’s finished, whether Artitler stays or goes

Bats, do you think Arteta is responsible for rubbish attacking play or not?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Obviously. But it doesn’t change that we lack creativity in the squad and we don’t have a midfielder who can score goals. Xhaka, Partey and Elneny are not gonna magically start hitting double figures with Conte in charge
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We have potentially 3 from midfield who can get into double figures with a better coach, ESR, Saka and Odegaard. And I think Pepe is not that far of either.
If we can develop Loko to partner Partey we have the makings of a good CM pairing as well. Thats where we are the weakest.
Frankly Arteta's deadwood could be the Japanese kid if he has no pace and Xhaka (who has history of being brain dead). You could Elneny if Arteta gives him a new contract.

What? Chelsea were about to sell Jorginho to us last season before Lampard was fired. He is now in the running for European footballer of the year.
A new manager gives life to all those players sitting in the doghouse. tbh I wish AMN thought about that before posting on Insta.
Don’t really classify any of those players as midfielders. ESR and Odegaard are both 10s and Saka and Pepe are wingers. Artitler’s attacking plan is to get the ball out wide and cross or pull off a moment of magic.
Lokonga could turn out to be a good player in the long run but the longer Artitler gets to work with him, the more I fear for his development.

??? And? He was a regular starter. He started 40/53 PL games for him and 13/13 CL games. There’s a difference between considering someone’s future and exiling someone without playing a minute for them.
Excellent news gt.
And looking at the squad. Maitland-Niles may get his wish to be CM.
I doubt Edu has any intention of giving Elneny a new contract.

Leading up to that January transfer window. We were linked with him last Summer. And again, there is no comparison between a player who has been a regular starter for 3 season and a player that has not made a single competitive appearance for the club.
I know we are all on a downer. But to be honest the transfer window is not bad and I suspect Edu had a hand in pushing for younger players.
That may not be too good for Arteta, who tbh doesn't seem to be a good coach but maybe the next man will inherit some talent.

Ins have been decent, but that's very dependent on the coach. Yeh I agree, not sure Arteta has the tools to work/improve with them, so looking at long term.
Not too impressed with outs. Willock and Guen are the only player we've sold and the rest are loaned with no options.
Also, that CM role has just not been sorted, and I suspect it'll come back to bite us.

Xhaka has the best shot out of all of them
