The issue is we don't know what Saka can do under a good manager. It's all opinion and speculation but given what Saka has achieved at his age in difficult circumstances it points to him being a very serious talent

Yeah let's not sign gnabry because we don't know if saka can improve more under a different coach. Even though both sterling and sane have regressed since arteta left.

Oh I wasn't suggesting we don't sign him if we had the option and it made financial sense

Surely there's almost no chance he'd make the step down anyway?

I'd rather have Saka than Gnabry

Would be good to see what Saka could really do under a top manager with better attacking tactics (hopefully all at Arsenal)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
On what grounds. Gnabry is actually a top, world class player. A level that sake has not reached yet
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Think he's got a higher ceiling (not that it will necessarily work out) and obviously has a lot more years ahead of him."

It's definitely possible Saka would outperform Gnabry under the same circumstances. Would be interesting to see what Saka could really do without Arteta's management holding him back"

Would love to see what he can do in his prime in the Premier league but you can't dismiss the fact many players have looked absolutely brilliant in the Bundesliga then struggled to show anything close to the same level in the Prem.

He's playing at a side that are on an entirely different level to the rest of the league and most of the CL (others were often playing for the lesser sides in the league and still tearing it up).

He could well be phenomenal in the Prem, looks like he's built like a tank nowadays, has the pace and plenty of composure to go with his skill.

It's always grated a bit when people speak the way I am, essentially dismissing the quality of other leagues but currently it is the genuine reality of the situation with many recent transfers."

Now how does Arteta hold Saka back when he's only improved since Mikel took over and similar players at City have regressed since he left?

Saka was what 17 when Arteta took over? Our set up is not helpful to attackers at all.

The fact Saka has performed so well is a testament to his talent imo

You obviously rate Arteta. Fair enough, we disagree entriely on that

Saka and Smith Rowe are the first pair of U21 players to score 10+ goals in a Premier League season for the same club since Rooney and Ronaldo 😲👏

Ffs

Sane and Sterling are similar players to Saka and both performed best while Arteta was at City, Sterling talking about how much Mikel raised his game

You talked about Saka's performances and said he would be better with a better manager, league positions aren't relevant to their personal performances

If your whole point is "Arteta bad" then just say that because trying to bring Saka into it is easily challenged

You obviously credit Arteta with the performances of Sterling, Sane, ESR and Saka which is fair enough. I don't at all... We can disagree.

I can that you rate a manager that has brought us turgid football, bottlejobs and 8th, 8th, 5th after a few hundred mill spent.
