Scamacca is a faster and stronger version of Giroud.
So Scamacca and Jesus would be an interesting combo to have with Eddie.

Haven't ever seen Scamacca live but if we do indeed go down the massive striker route I really hope we get one that can also play in close proximity to the wing forwards as well as play them in with through balls - rather than a guy we simply lump the ball to hoping he can head the ball in or perform miracles miles away from the rest of his team mates.
From clips he looks to have a decent shot but with Martinelli and particularly Saka we have guys capable of unlocking defensives with intricate one touch passing and getting in behind themselves. Whoever ends up being the CF, he really needs to be able to play to their strengths, it's why despite scoring goals Eddie is completely unsuitable to the job and why Lacathreat despite being a hopeless finisher was involved with our best performances throughout the season.

Saw him yesterday for the first time. Although he was out of the game for long periods because of English domination, he had a good touch every time he received the ball.
Frankly there is no way he can play on the wing. And so if we are buying only one striker, he wouldn't fit in our system. Someone like Osimhen would be the ideal striker and you wouldn't have to spend on Jesus.
Looking at the prices quoted you could buy both Jesus and Scamacca for the price of Osimhen. You could then play Jesus a lot in the middle and use someone like Scamacca of the bench to unlock teams who defend deep.
Eddie should be the understudy to Jesus. I don't think you can rely on Eddie to be the starter.
Bayer Leverkusen in Xhaka talks
I really don't see how we are going to strengthen the squad this summer adequately.
Auba, Laca and Pepe likely to go and jesus comes in. That isn't exactly strengthening.
Tielemans comes in and Xhaka leaves
Unless we are buying 2 forwards and 2 central midfield players, which we are not going to do, the squad depth is still going to be poor
