Shes watching his twitter feed one evening 2 years later, when a link appears to an article alleging he's been arrested for rape.

Just to be clear, your suggestion is that a woman was not traumatised enough to report it years ago but then told a lot of her friends as soon as one man, identity unknown at the time, was arrested? Plenty of footballers have been accused far more recently. Why didn't she come forward before?

I think it far more likely the police investigation questioned previous girlfriends to establish or discount a pattern of behaviour. Or it a was plot to extort money.

Pretty sure I heard the first one contacted the latest one on Instagram and that's how the police connected them?

"When the woman was giving her statement to police about last month’s alleged holiday attack, she also showed cops the messages she had received. Police took the separate claims very seriously, and re-arrested the player in relation to those accounts too. This is now a multi-pronged inquiry."



So not only did the 2021 one know who the footballer was, she also knows who the alleged 2022 victim was. And contacted her on Instagram.

Also, the 2021 alleged victim claims it happened twice, in April and in June. That sounds like it could have been a relationship. We don't know if the 2022 lass is in a relationship with the accused, could even been the accuseds wife for all we know.

So it could be the wife reporting a rape and a previous girlfriend coming forward of it happening to her as well?

Sounds like an awful bloke. But it could be very hard to prove whether it was consensual (which I assume will be his defence).

Lots of reasons women don't go to the police, tbf. But that was just speculation based on the limited knowledge we have, we don't even know if the women who posted that about the club "promoting Partey" is the 2021 alleged victim - or, indeed, of Partey is the accused.

Doesn't say the 2021 one read about it, but heard about it before 2022 went to the police and contacted 2022. That could be because they are in the same social circles, or have shared contacts.

One thing that struck me was I read a report that 2022 "fled back to her family". To me that sounds like the phrasing you use when a women leaves her partner. Could be a very wrong take, but it is fun speculating innit.
