The Tevez case is sensible. He's likely never to return to the UK, so how can they force him to finish the community service? Get the fine and all is done.

Serial, take your point.

But he's a citizen of the UK, and handed a punishment by the UK courts. Should of been made to complete it.

Yeah but a £3,000 fine, Serial?

He probably earned that in the time it took him to speed to the post office and post the cheque.

It's very difficult to enforce it Chris. Like i said, he'll never return here, so just take the fine.

Don't be overdramtic Pete. Tevez didn't kill anyone. It was a series of motoring offence.

To be fair though, I think it's the same kind of thing that would happen to anyone, not just a footballer.

If I had community service but was relocating to a new country, they'd probably let me change it for a fine.

I agree its too small. But the fine was the best possible outcome.

Why have we stopped being linked with defensive mids?

A few weeks ago it was Illaramendi, Kongdogbia, Gonalons, Schneirderlin and so on.

Now nothing? Diaby LANS?

Have to say that only about 10 years ago, tickets given for driving offenses on the continent were rarely enforced when you were back in the UK.

To be fair though, Diaby was quality against Liverpool away. One good performance in 7 years, best to stick with him
