Marti--Jesus--Saka
----Tross---Ode----

And just swarm them

Xhaka has his second wind. Needs to start. Those late runs into the box are so important.

I would play Martinelli-Jesus-Saka though.

ditto

No reason why he won't.

Those 3 are far better at counter-attack.

Well there is clearly one reason why he may not... Trossard.

Martinelli vs Trent
or
Trossard vs Trent.

You'd expect Trent to start at Anfield, so it's a matter of who can get to him on the counter. And after Marti destroyed him at the Emirates, I don't think it's not a very hard choice tbh.

Only, of course it, is a hard choice.

Playing striker no?

Trossard has played in all 3 roles... which is why Arteta can rotate any in and out.

That wasn't the point. If you are selecting Trossard based on his previous success for Brighton, you would play him instead of Jesus.

Brighton pretty much went for it that game, as I remember. But conceded 3 doing that, so I suppose it depends on how Arteta wants to approach the game.

Does he want to dominate and take the crowd out of it, or does he want to play a more balanced counter-attack.

And Salah is key. Arteta took him out of the game using Tomi man marking. Arteta does not have that option, so if he keeps Zinchenko wide, instead coming into midfield, Arteta will have to drop Xhaka deeper.

Yeah, Jesus can be rotated out. Only played 80 odd minutes in the last 5 months and can have impact off the bench.

Frank Lampard back at chelsea?

posted on 5/4/23

Looks like they will get Nagelsman

posted on 5/4/23

that's until the end of the season if Nagelsman doesn't want to take over now

posted on 5/4/23

I doubt Chelsea will wait until the end of the season, this Boehly guy will just pay Nagelsmann/Enrique more money to start now. Hopefully Lampard gets the job, we never got to play vs him this season

No way Lampard will be chelsea's choice. That would be nuts 😳

posted on 5/4/23

Lampard is no option for Chelsea. He was at the Bridge yesterday for the first time. Would he have done that if he was an option? Dont think so. Nagelsmann is their choice I think. If I were Nagelsmann I wouldnt go there. Would take a bit of time and see what will happen at other clubs for example at Real Madrid?
