Partey is contracted to 2025. So I don't it an issue till next season. Which is why I think Edu/Arteta are so motivated to sign Declan Rice. He could easily replace Xhaka next season and then move back to replace Partey the season after, with ESR taking up the Xhaka role.

What i liked on Sunday was that the game plan by Newcastle was to rattle xhaka.

Some of the tackles he received were facking scandalous but he didn't react and stood up to the challenge
