Such a good opportunity to beat City as well, from the extended highlights against Wolves it looks like they really do lose a level of control without Rodri. Kovacic is tidy as is Nunes but not his level.

See, you cannot have it both ways. Either its abt investment into areas and so wanted by MPs or it's nimbyism, and they don't want it.

My company is hired constantly to review state of projects (not this large) and you are incorrect that projects cannot be stopped or curtailed when they go over budget. We have to review sunk cost vs opportunity return constantly. In fact, HS2 is the very definition of a white elephant.

I commend Sunak for willing to take the heat for this. A weak prime minister would not touch this. Others started it and they would get the blame for costs overrun.
