Why would Juve do this? This move doesn't benefit them. Vlahovic is currently their top goalscorer. Why would they swap their best striker for an injury-prone, unreliable 30 year old midfielder?

Vlahovic in talks over contract extension.
Vlahovic says he isnt interested in a move.
Juventus say they aren't selling.
Vlahovic has already turned us down flat before he went to Juve.

Not sure why J99 is so invested here.

These days, it's so hard to get strikers, the only way usually is when they are in contract negotiations. My hope is that Juve can't match what we can offer. That is if we want him, and that's far from certain.

I really don't care who we sign as long as one is a striker. I know there are rumours that we could be back in for Neto to move Marti to striker, but I question how Marti is going to do that with his confidence so low.

No chance of that happening

I still think Toney was the only half-realistic option but looking at his comments it's hard to see him walking out of Brentford 2 weeks after saying that. I think he'll stay till the summer, keep them up, then get a big move then.

Most likely a Weghorst type signing we'll get, if any.
