Why not? The likes of Saka, Odegaard and Martinelli stepping it up has been of greater consequence than Havertz and Trossard putting up decent performances in "false 9" roles.

Its the reason why you see the up tick in form from the others. Trossard and Havertz have a better understanding and that is opening space.

Of course it is. Havertz and Trossard are rotating from midfield to attack. Trossard is far more creative than Jesus in midfield which gives opposing teams huge issues with both Saka and Marti able to make runs from out to in. So who do they mark? Ode or Trossard? And then if you sink back to crowd out Marti/Saka you can play Havertz as a physical presence on the edge.

Its why we are clicking.

Sorry, but there's just no long-term basis to make these claims. We played fantastic football last season with Jesus. A run of 3 or so matches is not any basis to make these kind of grand claims. You get carried away too often. I'm pretty sure Trossard has had a lot of time as CF - and it has not worked out well a number of times.

And even in this good run of form, Havertz has comfortably been the worst of our front 6 players. He basically plays that 8 role cos we have no other options.

Jesus coming back last season cost us the title. Hopefully we won't make the same mistake this season.

It's not his position and he was criticed for his performances.

I am happy that he is concentrating on defending first and doing his job.
