Neuer was trying to clear the ball. How is it any different?
Elliot did the same to Wana bi saka but this time he followed the action by diving. Saka did not even dive.
(elliot went into horizontal position and Saka stayed upright.)

EVERY?

Are you trying to make the point that Ally McCoist does not know or understand the rules (which he says on talksport often enough anyway) and needs to go on a course before the next time he works on TV? Quite right.
"Neuer was trying to clear the ball. How is it any different?"
Neuer came out to challenge Saka, missed and fouled him. Pen.
Phillips had the ball in possession, tried to clear it and Gordon deliberately put his foot in the way to win the foul. Very different and I dont think that is a foul.
You were siding with McCoist on Saka and Gordon.

That's the key bit. Ref justified it by saying in his opinion he did not have it under control and the ball was there to be won. Gordon did that by getting in front of him before Kalvin kicked through him.
I think its how the coaches are training their players.

Scottish LEGEND
Only to the blue side of Glasgow.
Mccoist is decent on comms but just a bit clueless. Like the loud local at the pub just shouting nonsense

Every pundit said Gordon was fouled because he established his ground and Phillips kicked through him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That was not a penalty though
Saka didn't actually extend his leg out. Neuer was the one who did that.
The momentum of the turn took saka into neuers path. Could he have moved out of the way? Probably.
When was the game that I think it was Allison tackled Saka, he didn't dive but stayed on his feet but we didn't get the penalty either ?
Fiddy could end up at a traffic light
Eh what’s that mean my mate
