Can't shake the feeling the Liverpool result affected our game yesterday.

Not that I was taking Villa lightly, and was expecting a tricky match. However, given their absences I also mildly confident we'd get a result against them.

Then I saw Liverpool had lost... and, for whatever reason, it kinda made me a bit nervous.

Not sure what the fuss is about Zinchencko. He has already been replaced by Timber.

We lost last night because Rice is not proficient in transitions and has played more, higher intensity games than he has ever done at West Ham. Ode similarly went kaput.

Havertz and White weren't pressing much either.

Arteta subbed Ode which tells you he had already prioritised the Champions League despite Liverpool's collapse to Crystal Palace.

Been a poor season overall from him, but he's only 22 and had some injury niggles. No chance we let him go, his potential is still super high.

I seriously doubt Villa will sell any of their players if they qualify for the Champions League.

And tbf to Marti, playing generally in front of Kiwior or inverted Zinchenko? Wouldnt wish that fate on Antony

Well. If we bring in a starter, his role is reduced to one of rotation.

I said last season that his martinellis performances/output are probably at their peak if he is to stay at LW. We need to put him in more central areas to get the best out of him imo

We need a striker lad. Jorgy can squeeze another season out, maybe need to add another rotation CM, but honestly we'd be about 8 points clear had we signed a decent goalscorer this season.

His hold up play is shocking though

Jorghi deserve one more year but without an option.

Dont know if the player is ready to accept it.
