Rodri not being in there is horrendous. They had to put VVD to please the scouse media. We all know Saliba/Gabriel both have been better and should’ve been in the running.
We keep so many clean sheets, have the best defensive record, but yet only one will make the team of the season. It’s shambolic.
But Rodri is the most disrespected player for these awards, there’s not a guy as good as him anywhere.

Still think VdV is a brilliant signing, got all the attributes.

Funny how people talk about him like he's a promising youngster and Saliba like he's a seasoned veteran when comparing, though. They are like a month apart in age. Probably tells you everything you need to know, Saliba could well turn out to be the best defender we've had in my lifetime.
