Newcastle not in an international cup is good. They wont get extra money and maybe have to sell.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The money isn't that good though but would be hard to attract players
They finished 3rd last season when they weren’t in Europe
Think next season we've really gotta be winning it, Liverpool should drop off, i cant see any of the teams in the tier below stepping up to fill that void so surely another one on one shootout.
Chelsea and ManU will be there next season?
Granit with another fine goal in an important game.
What’s to say City won’t spend big on some world class players this Summer?
I read City is interested in Bruno from Newcastle and would play his release clause.

I don't think there is any player in the world for whom playing in the Ropey Conference League would make a difference in their calculus for moving to a club. CL - certainly. Ropey League - perhaps. Ropey Conference - no way.

This would be a real bummer. We need to sign Bruno. Would be a massive upgrade to our options in that position.
Dunno about Bruno, they need to check out if he's done some dodgy betting first

Most people gamble pp. How would you know if someone has a problem or worse, part of organised gangs?
🚨 Mikel Arteta is considering selling £35m midfielder Fábio Vieira this summer after becoming concerned at his performance in Arsenal training sessions.

A year too late, imo. They repurposed him as Saka's backup, and he hasn't even been good enough to do that in training. Colossal waste of money.

So let's buy him and then he gets a ban for 2 years!, and no, most people do not gamble, I don't.
We just need to be careful who we buy, paqueta could be in real trouble if found guilty.
What would you suggest then, PP?
I’m sure Newcastle would’ve thought twice about buying Tonali had they known about his issues with gambling.
Do you think they didn’t makes checks about his personality before they signed him?
Is PP suggesting we hire PIs to pry into the private lives of any potential transfer target?
You cannot stop players from gambling. They are allowed to gamble in other sports and events. It's a very secretive activity and they don't have disclose any information before signing.
May be clubs need to put clauses in player's contracts and hold them responsible for their actions. e.g Tonali should pay Newcastle millions of pounds for the 1 year ban

All clubs have those clauses and can terminate contracts. However Tonali or Toney are young and are still worth millions despite missing out a season.

I’ll be surprised if this isn’t done. Millions are being put on the table
There are limitations to due diligence, 50. Why would a player want to move to a club that is so distrusting of their word?

A lot of high stakes in place, but players don’t need to need to know, otherwise the PI is crap
