Was thinking the same when I heard Barca are trying to bin him. Should drop the Merino interest and go for Gundogan ourselves. Don’t really have any chance of signing him if City want him back though

That's sentiment talking. I doubt he could even play a full season in Liga let alone the more intense Premier League. In fact, wasn't that the reason why he didn't accept an extension offer?

he ain't going to sign a 1 year deal though, is he? Thats FM talking. He'll want at least 2 years.

No real links to any forward.

Even with Eddie going, Arteta will just see it as he has havertz, jesus and trossard that can play central.

I hope I'm wrong but Arteta emphasising on defensive players over attackers shouldn't really come as a surprise.

He just doesn't do attacking players

If no attacker is coming in, might as well keep Nelson as we will be pretty short on the bench, considering the amount of games we will be involved in this season
