Think as well that City goal is a regular goal to be fair.

I am more concerned that too many decisions go against us when similar situation not getting punished.

any why the faaak do you lot care about man city winning? do you honestly think we are in a title race this season??
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes we are. Take 7 points from our next 3 games and we are well in the mix or do you give up after 1 defeat?

I couldn’t be bothered, as we all probably had the same thought anyway.

Not all on this thread. Quite easy to spot the Anti-Arsenal trolls.

I wonder who they are.

GT is an Anti-Arsenal troll cos he though it was a legit goal too🤠

Like I said anyone who thinks that’s not a legitimate goal is just embarrassing themselves. Decisions against us this season or from 10 years ago don’t change that.

Looked legit to me aswell. All I'm saying is you can see the refs disallowing it for us.

On field decision yesterday referred to VAR.

Decision overturned.

On field decision today referred to VAR.

Decision upheld.

I was going to post this morning what’s the betting a controversial 50/50 decision would go City’s way. But it’s all so predictable, I couldn’t be bothered, as we all probably had the same thought anyway.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Premier League Match Centre on X have tweeted:

"Stones’ goal was disallowed on-field due to Bernardo Silva being in an offside position and in the goalkeeper’s line of vision. The VAR deemed Bernardo Silva wasn’t in the line of vision and had no impact on the goalkeeper and recommended an on-field review. The referee overturned his original decision and a goal was awarded."

GT pointed to the inconsistency after it was referred to VAR. It is very rare for the onfield ref to overrule VAR because of the high bar rule.

Aye. We need to improve asap though, which should hopefully just means Odegaard and Saka back.

We need to be ahead of City at xmas not trying to catch them

Agree Tu, that is also my concern. Too many of these decisions going against us. We are losing too many vital points there which in the end could be costly.

OK. fair enough then. I thought the same as Pep that the goal was given originally.

Maybe. I know champions find a way but i do feel they very lucky with 4 points from last second john stones equalisers already.

Part of it is the message sent by the coach to be desperate for wins. Arteta often lives in his fears rather than his hopes. We are not good front runners and the worst thing that happened to us this season was so many people backing us to win the title. Its somewhat understandable because we haven't won a title for so long. But Arteta really has to listen to his inner Pep/Wenger and not Moyes.

I’m sure this will be held up as being the sign of champions, whereas when Arsenal win late it’s usually reported in a negative way.
