Any news on Gabriel and Timber?

posted 3 hours, 34 minutes ago

Timber looked like cramps, so not worried. White looked so sure at CB but with excellent passing. Hopefully Gabriel is not out long but White/Saliba maybe the best partnership anyway.

Haven't seen a replay. Why was our winner ruled out?

Non existent foul by Kiwior but the odd thing is the ref waited for the ball to fall into Havertz’s path before deciding to blow the whistle

posted 3 hours, 19 minutes ago

I bet he realised that VAR would not overrule a 50/50 decision by Kiwior.

This is why we have to control the narrative in the media if we are to beat the likes of City to the title.

Kiwior mistake for their equaliser, otherwise Liverpool looked far from scary. A fully fit Arsenal would have won that game easily. Dominated them in the first half when Saka/Timber were strong.

Said at the start of the season White and Saliba should be considered as a CB pairing. Not all the time, but certainly occasionally. Would certainly mean less running for white and you can rest Gabriel (or even Saliba). Injuries have meant we don't have a lot of choice

I woke up really piiissed about the result. Liverpool were crap.

Well when you have a push over pile Theo agreeing with everyone, we will never control any narrative. Get Ian wright back on the main TV stations.

That goal is given if the match was at Anfeld and Liverpool scored it. Would bet my life on it

Haven't been impressed by Liverpool since last year. They just don’t have that ‘oomph’ that Arsenal or City have.

Keown does not stand for chit. He is the man. I've said Theo is a Liverpool fan for a very long time. I would not be surprised if he was on their side in the studio.

In terms of playing out from the back, White is the best. Technically the guy is elite for a defender

posted 3 hours, 9 minutes ago

We did go too defensive in that 2nd half though.

When gabriel went of it was like we were playing with 10 men

Gabriel is a set piece beast. Difficult to leave him out but I get what your saying

Being realistic, we've probably dropped too many points already for the league. I'd be astounded if we won it from here

posted 2 hours, 52 minutes ago

We've already dropped 7 points from winning positions which is annoying and we could have won all of them! Last season we had 40 points from 19 games which at the time felt 5 points light. Any chance we can get to 44-45 points this time round?

Also the foul on Martinelli would be given as a pen after VAR reviewing at Anfield. No doubt about that.

No one will remember how we lost these points. Double standard officiating. The narrative media expert will say we bottle it again.

Liverpool is an ordinary team but what they have is they score out of nothing due to individual effort. That is why they are 4 points ahead of us. Footballwise we are a better team.

posted 2 hours, 13 minutes ago

That said and coming back to Arsenal we can be proud of our team under the circumstancies we have to play at the moment.

Partey is back and in recent week our best and consistent player. It needs to be said no matter happened the last few months/season with him.

Trossard finally got his act together again. Much better performance by him.

White needs game time. At B´mouth he was weak but a fully fit Benny Blanco is a wonderful player.

Gabriel´s injury is a concern and watching his insta post I am worried.

Arteta didnt lie when he said that we will see a different Arsenal team against Liverpool. He was right.

Agree

Their attack is clinical. I mean they had what 1 clear chance in open play and scored. Players like Salah will keep them in the title hunt.

Newcastle is going to be another really rough watch. They will make it very difficult with the low block

posted 2 hours, 6 minutes ago

Forget to mention Rice....By far his best performance this season for Arsenal.

Liverpool aren't ordinary, they're obviously very good. I just think we're better, as we showed yesterday with a makeshift defence. The result is very frustrating.

Injuries to Gabriel and Timber played a part but so did Arteta defensive set up in the 2nd half.

At home, we need to do more in attack. If the game was at Anfield, I would understand the approach but we seemed too consumed in defending a 2-1 lead

posted 1 hour, 17 minutes ago

Annoying as we will now most likely miss gabriel for Newcastle and Chelsea.

With the defensive injury crisis, the attack has to do more.

Players like Havertz, who had another absolute stinker yesterday, has to show more in these big games
