Athletic Totally Football podcast saying VVD couldn't have been sent off for kicking out at Havertz twice as it was too early in the game
A spirit of the law decision, unlucky for us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Cool, hopefully our players get to know this and spend the first 10 minutes of every game kicking and punching opponents safe in the knowledge there is a "too early" clause.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately if we were to do it, it would be a a letter of the law day and we would go down to 10 with only ourselves to blame

That's stupid. Players have been sent off early in a game. I remember Man City having a player sent off after like 3 mins when we played them in 2010/2011.
I feel like someone at NYT has told the athletic they're not getting enough engagement so they're just baiting us
Silly considering the whole point of the athletic was a subscription model that supposedly focussed in quality and giving fans a detailed neutral and fan led view of their club
NYT are coming to the realisation that collating a load of bloggers and journalists into a successful magazine is not easy. And NYT is losing subscribers because of their pandering to the extreme right Maga crowd, so the Athletic is becoming an even more important source of hunting clicks.
Ended my Athletic subscription when they posted that post-City game article with claims such as Partey deliberately injured Rodri.
Times reporting Gabriel and Timber injuries not serious.
shame, if they didn't get injured we would've won that game

Could they be available for Newcastle and Chelsea?
timber looked to of had cramp, so I think he would be available
is MLS ahead of Zinchenko now? Need to sell Zinny and Jesus in Jan.
19 goals in 79 games not good enough from Jesus. Don't think there is a queue to buy him though

it doesn't matter that he corrected it, people still remember the 1st edition. Yesterday I had to get the receipts out for the lie that the media perpetuated (I think it was stephen warnock that started it ) when he said that Arteta in response to Liverpool and Spurs game last year said that "mistakes happen" when refereeing to the poor referring decision in that game.
I don't trust anything they write anymore
It was another wolves fan at the athletic who had a problem with Trossard serving out his suspension in a league cup game
A rule that had been in place for a decade of more only became a problem when arsenal were seen to benefit
