Q - why do assists seem to dry up for players during the season?

I notice the record is 20 but a fair number of players have got to 12/13 assists really quickly (so 1 assist per game) but then only get to 18/19/20 assists at end of the season

Fatigue, injuries, teams getting found out

Giroud being a useless 16 games without a goal dosser

Yep fair on that one. I wonder if Ozil would have turned into an Arsenal legend with even a half decent striker like Havertz.

Lol nah he was class, just had no physicality at all. If you watch his highlights reel for Arsenal he looks like our GOAT. If he'd had even half of Odegaards physical strengths and battling, he'd have been a legend
