In the summer sell:
giroud - £5m
Poldi - £10m
Santi - £12m
Arteta -£50k
Monreal - £1m
Diaby - Pot noodle
His end product is good no doubt but he's a limited player. Our style of slow ass build up doesn't suit him. He can play one way and that's counter.
For a team like Arsenal who rely so much on passing why we have past it Arteta and not touch Flamini is shocking. That worries me the most, especially when we have Kim on the bench who is better than both. Least Ramsey is back.

What?
Why would you be scared of big boats?
Who too? 95k a week I think he's on

Didn't we try to sell him last summer?

A 10 min appearence by Kim and suddenly he is better than Arteta and Flamini?.

Tbf, he did look alright. But he looks a little immobile to me.
Wouldn't surprise me if he's still struggling with his back.

He's only 31 and been playing at top level for quite some time.

he has a sweet left foot no doubt. But his fitness is very low and has not played for a while. He hasn't played at his best since his Lyon days

I missed a bit of conversation but am I to understand Lex is on the boat that is looking for the Malaysian plane?
You think Wenger is going to ease Ramsey back by playing him on the wing?

Fecking hope not.
Arteta is the slowest player in the team. Has to be slower than Mertersacker.
It's obvious now that with RVP leaving Wenger signed Podolski due to his 'name' rather than as part of any thought out strategy.
As much as I love the guy, these two seasons have largely been a waste of both parties' times.

I am not interested in scoring points KPPR. I am trying to analyse what went wrong.

But you're doing so with a take on reality that would befuddle Salvador Dali.
Actually it declined even with Theo and Ramsey in the team. Think back to when Theo returned from injury. And in fact read some of my posts even when we were winning. I was talking of striker regression and how Giroud was not making off the ball runs for his team mates to find space or for defenders to be pulled out of position. Giroud goal scoring returns and general display started to decline long before Theo was injured.
====
Giroud had more goals and more assists in the league with Ramsey than without since. Ozil's presence doesn't appear to have had an impact either way.
In my opinion that was the reason Wenger decided to play Theo as striker against Spurs in the FA Cup.
====
And it wasn't a rotation issue?
Podolski is a very wrid one. He cannot play upfront but is not a left winger.
He could be very well suited playing from the right and cutting inside on his left foot. He can certainly finish on his left

Pod scores when he plays as a second striker. behind Klose he was a G
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Klose holds the ball up, though.
Podolski only plays well on counter attack. Watch all his goals and you see most of them are on the break.
Today I said fück it and had lunch at 11:30
