Anybody catch the U21 match?
Saw a text the BBC published live feed thing last night, it was something along the lines of :
"My dad has been a United fan for 60 years and he says the only players that would get into the great teams of the Busby era would be Hernandez and Welbeck"
BBC been Wummed!
The result mean little. It's the personal and performance that shone through. Gnabry, Akpom and Bellerin shone through again.
"My dad has been a United fan for 60 years and he says the only players that would get into the great teams of the Busby era would be Hernandez and Welbeck"
Welbeck was United's worst player last night.
He is utter cack
It's pretty disgraceful that Welbeck gets anywhere near the England side. I guarantee if he played for Southampton like Lambert he wouldn't even be mentioned for friendlies.
The English national side is a joke. Players aren't selected on form or quality, but for the club they play for.
Agree Serial. There is some real decent options for Roy at the minute, albeit not the same as 4-5 years ago, but he just chooses the ones the paper talk about.
If I'm honest, Oxlade-Chamberlain should be nowhere near the England team at the minute, yet he is.
Agree Chris but at the same time he does deserve more game time at Arsenal
Exactly. Ox shouldn't be anywhere near the England team if he isn't a regular at Arsenal. In fact, there's an argument to suggest that his club form has suffered due to starting England games without Merit.
Ox has the talent, no doubt, but young players need the temperament and patience. His time will come, but until he does he must develop the weaker aspects of his game.
Although, the fact that dross like Welbeck, Milner and Cleverly regularly start for England just shows how much we're lacking any real depth of talent.
Al, yeah he needs to be playing. I think he'll turn into a quality attacking mid, but surely we could of loaned him out this season? Surely he'd get into QPR or Readings first team?
Easily
He would even be good at somewhere like West Brom or Fulham
I think Englands in transition at the moment. Players like Wilshere, Cleverley, Ox, Rodwell etc have a big age gap to the squad we have taken to previous tournaments i.e. Gerrard, Lampard, Owen. As long as these players develop as they should we should have a half decent team in a couple of years.
The problem for Ox is that unless Arsenal invest in some real talent for the squad, he is unlikely to be sent on loan and thus get any real 1st team action.
Our squad is bare thin as it is. We can't really afford to let Ox go and suffer when the likes of Pod, Theo get injured. It doesn't help his development, when he's left to sit on the bench.
Will be interesting to see how Wenger deals with Ox next season.
Did AW think that Ox would of had more of an effect this season than 1 or 2 decent games? If so, then fair enough and he has been let down, but if not we would of been better off loaning Ox and signing Benayoun on a another loan deal ourselves.
Personally i would loan off Ox and give Gnabry a season or half in the 1st team. That way, the cycle of development continues and we get the benefit.
United fans are a fecking joke. Check this sh|t out:

Really?!
That is why i cannot stand united fans. They're all a bunch of silly plastic s with not a brain cell between them. Glory hunters with limited knowledge of football.
Saw that article earlier , cracked me up. Honestly, I'd say at least 90% of United fans on this site are immature guys who live nowhere near Manchester, who don't watch most games just MOTD and haven't a clue about football prior to 2006
