a guitar should be able to handle standar tuning.. unless from the shop the caants had it on a really low tuning...

Yeah some super folk/dreadnoughts are set up so that standard tuning is too tight so that they feel normal when in lower tunings.

necks can be gay though. you better off sending it to a music shop for a proper setup. I did that with my fender when I put HUGE strings on it

Yeah that's what i meant. I'd get high gauge strings just for the shredding aspect - But then the lower strings became a bit more tricky ken like.
