The Chinese should get tapes of Townend's commentary and use it for torture techniques.
Gibson
Second match in a row he's skied a sitter into the stands.
Come on, you didn't expect them to go toe to toe with you on the ground?
Unlucky not to have Smith available. Few dodgy ref decisions in the first half but overall Everton deserved the win.
Yep, on a plate again for Gibson again. Naismith would have scored that
Maybe it has to be 25/30 yards out!
Some of out decision making in front of goal is baffling sometimes.

I finally agree with you on something. He is dire, and seemed, as did the other bloke, to be willing Oldham to score and win the game.
Other than the brain fade Distin had for the goal, they were never in the game. Job done, bring on Wigan!
Yeah. It's unfortunate for them that Smith was injured. However I couldn't have seen them getting a result at Goodison anyhow.
It was actually boring how one sided it was for most of the game. I did perk up when Gibson got the ball though, that guy is hilarious from sitters to passes which go out of play, the guy gets me everytime.
His passing was a little wayward last night but he wasn't the only one. The ball in for the first goal was a decent enough though would you agree?
As for shooting, like I said in a previous thread after the Norwich game does Moyes factor in shooting drills in training?
Finally, as for Townsend, what a clempton that bloke is. Was on the Everton bashing tip all night.
The c()ck!
Yeah good ball in for the goal. His set pieces actually aren't bad, it's when he has to move quickly. Looks like he's in quicksand.
Everything Townsend says, 'infuriates me. The things he comes out with. You catch him starting his sentence and then catching himself on halfway through but then he has to finish it.
I refer you to the line: 'Forget the rule book, that was a penalty!'
Seriously, how can that man have a job in football commentary whilst uttering drivel like that?
Also the guff about Mirallas not having scored since Sept last year, he's been injured for most of that time, I'd think he'd have a job scoring with his leg in a cast.... Honestly, by 8 year old son gives a better match commentary while he's playing FIFA
Should have said 'MY 8 year old son'

I think he gets a sheet before each game and it has stats etc on it. He doesn't actually watch the games or know what he's talking about but blags it with the stat sheet.
This obsession with Gibson makes me laugh. Ossie did the exact same thing did he not?
Nice to see you being an armchair watcher again TOOR.
I heard a rumour that Bobby Martinez was in the crowd last night checking out his players for next season.
If he (townsend) was talking about the Gibson hardball as a penalty then he is a plum. What about the two on Jela? One did end up with a penalty, but for hardball.
Is that not in the rulebook Andy?

I'm sorry but everytime I watch him I laugh my head off, it's become a weekly occurance now, where I'm looking for Gibson. It's hilarious.
Its like having a striker injured or unable to hit a barn door with a banjo.
