The idea that Cesc joining Barca might coincide with them turning a bit sh/t is actually rather beautiful.

This is his second season at Barca and still hasn't won a major trophy (I said Major!!!). He'll surely win the liga this year but I think it will be hard for them to progress in the CL!

Funny how it was the Barca fans clamouring for his return and now they're turning on him. Didn't think he'd ever be suited (quick enough?) for their tiki-taka system.

Anway looking forward to Xavi's presser saying Fabregas missing a few key Barca dna molecules after all.

I think Fab will see out his career or atleast his prime at Barca.

I expect Xavi to retire, relatively, early just like Zidane. Although he could easily play at the highest level for another 10 years with his talent.

I feel no shred of sympathy for him. Barca never needed him and he must have known he was destined for a spell on the bench and playing out of position.

Yeah I agree Sheriff.

People are acting as if they think Cesc is suprised he's not starting week in week out. He knew exactly what it would be like over there.

"Maybe we overrated Fabregas and Nasri."

Don't ever mention 'Fabregas' and 'Nasri' in the same sentence.

Cesc was/is every bit as good as we used to think.

Cesc was underrated and he has one of the best assist in the PL history. Though i do agree that the only way he will be back at Arsenal is if he gets forced out of the Barcelona team. Also just because you think your going to be on the bench warmer doesn't mean he should not go and fight. Since Fabregas left Arsenal, the one thing they lacked in this starting 11 and that is a fighter who takes the opposition by the scruff of the neck and killer pass. Jack Wilshere is a fighter but i haven't seen him dominate in the middle of the park just yet.

he started every single game this season apart from 2 I think. In one he got a rest (Seville game last Sunday) and in the other he was injured. So yes he played out of position but his season was far from being worse.

Yes and he got exact this stat again this season. Best passer in La Liga.

Dominating a midfield is a skill, and talent. Has nothing to do with determination and sheer will.

Wilshere is/will never be on Cesc's level in that regard. Cesc was a one man midfield machine for us.

We can say all we want about Cesc, like him or not but just few players had/his vision and got I miss that.
That killer pass which no one else would even see or try.
Arsenal miss that!

Arsenal's play went downhill when he left. Our biggest loss in recent years.

Even more so than Henry, RVP, etc.

if Wenger and the board manned up and bought a good replacement we wouldnt be thinking about Cesc now, anyway F Cesc

To be honest there is very minimal players who can replace Cesc Fabregas ability.

You wont find a Cesc replacement easily in the market, WNM. We couldnt even find a replacement for the .

How so? These kind of players are special and with our philosophy its difficult to get them to Arsenal.

He is always great for the first half of the season, then has a mediocre second half.

Thing is when he joined them he disrupted the team play. He's too good to be left out but when he plays he isn't fitting into the team as easy as they'd have thought. Pep wanted to sell him Piqué and a couple others if he wanted to sign on. He clearly knew Cesx was standing in his way and Piqué is shït.

I'm not sure whether Guardiola wanted to sell Cesc, but i know that he was very attack minded player and making too many forwards which is not why the purchased the player.
