bale doesn't have the technique to play for Barca. Redknapp talks out of his ar&&se. Madrid suit Bale due to their counter attack style.

bales passing is nowhere near good enough for Barcelona.

Bale will struggle to get a game at Barca.

Quite Frankly, Jamie Redknapp is embarrassing as a pundit. Maybe, just maybe, the worst pundit in the game.

Jamie Redknapp lol. Everyone's world class according to him. Full of hyperbole.

Jamie Redknapp

Didn't even need to read the article

I actually think him and United are a match made in heaven for each other. Real definitely suit his style of play more than Barca tho.

Garth Crooks - This player scored this week, so he's going in my team of the week.

Redknapp is just a dopey

He'd give them a directness they clearly lack, as a full back I can see it, if he were to play on the wing it wouldn't work.

He is most suited to Man Utd, everything about suggests he should be a target for us (price aside). I think he will end up at Madrid though.

Imagine Bale and Ronaldo interchanging on the wings, terrifying on the counter.

You are obviously an expert in assessing techniques are you?

Didn't TH go to Barca, and what special techniques did he have then?

Speed by any chance?

Henry was pretty skillful no?

The idea that bale doesn't have decent technique is ridiculous

Whilst I agree that Redknapp usually talks the 'Sky Sports way' I can see some merit in what he is saying.

Barca often lack a 'Plan B' and having someone like him may offer a direct route. The only downside to this is that it will probably force teams even deeper against Barca.

For me for this to work Barca would have to get someone in the box to feed off his crosses. Surprised they didn't go in for Llorente or his type really.

Wow comparing Henry to Bale is pretty ridiculous.

Rob obviously has technique, however it's not a paramount part of his game. His game is about power and speed. To play for Barca you have to have better passing and footballing intelligence that what Bale has in my eyes.

Masc is the pinnacle of technical ability, hence his move to Barca.

Seriously, Bale no technique? He strikes a ball better than most players could dream of!!! Why do people confuse a low centre of gravity with technique?

Henry had a lot more technique in his little toe than Bale possesses. He was the complete forward.

Bale passing isn't good enough for Barca. Neither is his ability to play in tight spaces. Here in PL he's better suited due to 100mph football and his pace.

Henry was quality, no Ruud, but still 2nd best isn't bad

Bale's technique is different compared to the Barcelona team.. His technique involves running at players with speed and shooting. He does have technique but not the technique that Barca midfielders/attackers have. Difficult to explain as people will take your posts the wrong way. For eg, I dont see Bale getting involved in a sequence of 30 passes with the Barca team and then threading a throughball through the opp defence. He's just not that kind of player to take one touch and move along. He'd be ideally suited to Madrid.

you do realise bale is more one footed than valencia.

bale at barcelona wouldnt work, because passing isnt the best part of his game.

his passing ability isnt up there with the likes of xavi, messi, iniesta, thats how they play their game.

Redknapp said Barca need something else when coming up against well organised teams.

A well organised team is exactly what fooks Bale up, look at us vs Tottenham a good few weeks back, sat deep, defended, and we shut him off.

His pace useless against teams who play that way.

Bale could be an understudy for Tello

To be honest I dont see bale as being all what some suggest, however he is very good player no doubt.

Suitability is a different thing all together. I dont think bale would suit UTD or barca. These are teams rather than individuals. Even messi is part of a team ethos rather than its all about messi.

UTD are a club that would restrict bale as teh team is bigger than the individual, nani saw this, berba saw this, ando saw this and even cantona saw this if it is to be believed that SAF was prepared to let him go.

Barca are bloody boring to watch. Seriously they dont interest me anymore. Not that they ever did with their 2500 passes a minute but I cant watch their games for long. Madrid even though they're counter attacking a hell of a lot now, are more exciting with Di Maria, Ronaldo down the wings.

So is Di Maria, Robben ect they still play from the right, if you’d seen Bale play you’d know he has flourished in his free role, playing all across the park. When you have the speed and power he does, it doesn’t matter if what he is doing is predictable, it’s simply unstoppable at times.

I’d argue this is exactly the reason Barca are being found out on a more regular basis, teams know if they play narrow and defend in numbers it’s difficult for Barca to score, if they had a Bale/ Ronaldo type player who tries to make something happen at every given opportunity, the opposition then have a player to mark as opposed to space.

Mr Chelsea - agree

also think someone like bale would be a mourinho type of target.
