I missed the Swansea match

I thought it would be a long while before we'd have another high scoring match So today was very good for me

you've gotten into Got_Better's prescription locker righteous

the world was ending a little over a week ago after drawing 2 and losing 2-0 to a sucker punch.

Not quite.

We still have plenty of weaknesses.

We are very good flat track bullys now though.

I am not scared about playing the bottom teams anymore, I expect us to win comfortably.

We have to prove next week than we can play that well and win against a good Spurs team, and take that into the rest of the season.

If it only wasn't for that sloppy West Brom defeat that we should have won we'd be on a really good run now

It is very frustrating.

Villa, Stoke, West Brom. Those three games were terrible results.

Villa are garbage, Stoke haven't a won a home game since, and West Brom have lost 9 out of 15.

We really could have been in the mix this season

We just need to do it against the top teams now as we have a better goal difference than both spurs and Everton yet they are both above us.

Classy performance from him, the pass for Suarez goal was great.. Brazilians seem to be learning to adapt abit better to the Premier League than before

Very impressed with Coutinho tonight, 2 assists and the fact he put a shift in down that lefthand side. He was tracking back and doing the defensive part of the job! <Ok>

Only problem was our defending at times left a lot to be desired. But credit to Pepe for some Quality saves.

I think the lax defending will continue for the rest of the season, until we are able to get some new defenders in for next season.

Its mainly balls into the box we struggle with. All Wigan's chances stemmed from crosses.

Forget defending, if we score a minimum of 4 I fancy our chances at 3 points

Newcastle under Keegan tactics for the rest of the season.

Lets have it!

That first goal was the one, Cout just left their RB for dead and the cross was sublime.

And Downing actually got in the box!

Did nowt for the rest of the game but at least he actually wanted to score a goal for a change.

Great team performance today. If we maintain this level for the remainder of the season we'll be pushing those currently above us all the way. It's gonna be tight so our next home game will be pivotal.

Can't wait for it.

I honestly think someone like Ryan Shawcross would be a good centre back to bring in. He can organise well, has a bit of pace, and is good in the air, if not a little bit too strong in the challenge at times.

If not, then maybe Coates is ready for a shot there, he's a big man who has done well most of the time when called upon

What impressed me about Coutinho was his readiness to track back, defend, and tackle. The pas for that second goal was sublime. jimmyTheRed

"We turn our midfielders into "Jack of all trades, Master on none" type players"

that's what they are though for the most part. they're not turned into that, that's what they are.

see Milner

Isnt Coutinho only in his very early 20's frightening.

Also aside the tongue in cheek Oscar , he too is incredibly talented, but has just played in dribs and drabs.

I think its the way we have forced ourselves to play this season, we have had a few teething problems but the fluidity we are instilling will serve us long term to toally dominate teams.

Imagine the way we play but replace some of the mediocre players with out and out quality over the next few years!

Very promising indeed
