i can only think that in the past, when wenger built a defense and a title winning team, the difference was, that he had a midfield also of pure quality or maybe that midfield was so good it covered for the defense when it needed to. i mean tactically under wenger our defense has never looked rock solid IMO.
well apart from the days when he inherited adams and co
Plan B is hoof ball to mertesacker
Been the case for years. Whilst the money is a factor, it's not the primary thing holding us back from challenging properly, the primary problem are Wenger's stone aged tactics and his almost insane, steadfast belief that he harbours talent enough across the board to simply overwhelm the opposition on ability alone, hence the reason he never even so much as pretends to put in plans or contingency to stop and or cancel out an oppositions strength.
He failed to make a dent in the European cup with half the French national side that dominated the international scene at the early part of the last decade; Fergie would have won consecutive trebles with that level of talent. That Arsene Wenger didn't even make a champions league semi final is an utter disgrace.
Someone needs to do the humane thing and put him down. He'd done.
I just want him to leave. I respect what he has done but times have changed and football has evolved

How am i going to stomach the thought of playing in the europa league.
Playing someone on a yellow card in defence and removing a player doing well buffled me but am not a manager anyway
There are so many things wrong with this arsenal team.
I mean bayern probably summed this up perfectly and showed the gulf in class
