Do you think the arsenal fans are good fans in general? I've heard the emirates likened to a library before but is it a good atmosphere?

Depends on the end you're in. Anyway, its a big stadium and we are not allowed to pack fans in as densely as we would like (city laws etc). We'd all need to be screaming our heads off to match smaller compact stadiums. I think our away fans are the best in the country besides Leeds.
Did you actually come up with the carrot smiley? Why is it not in the "How do I add a smiley?" help list? I was wondering are there other hidden smileys too?
I did yes and i'm not too sure i shall betalking to admin about that. I wish you were still at highbury. Had a real oldschool feel about it
The word 'carrot' in Welsh is 'moron'.
<moron>
i had to google translate that there. Interesting!
I was going to say we need a moron smiley as well, but I suppose if there was a Man City smiley, everyone would want one for their club.

Also i would like to agree with the above poster. I would give anything for my club to have had the sustained success arsenal have had in recent years under Wenger. I can sort of understand the frustration but really things could be so much worse for arsenal

A good comment! And yes, that is what annoys fans like me. We have it so lucky!! I'm proud of the club and I think most of us are.
But these rotten eggs are opening us up for outside criticism and are an embarrasment! And its the type of people that do it that disgust me. Usually people with no jobs or on the dole, or some spoilt young brats (generation "me" types) who have no idea how the world works let alone a football club!!
Its really frustrating to see because it hurts the club.

I'm impressed at that!
And yes, you hit the nail on the head with the supporters we have. We also have some of the older generation too who just moan and whinge about everything. These people have seen the bad days at Arsenal and they really should know better!

Wow you're an ignorant little snob aren't you?
The fans booing yesterday are the type that have contributed towards the lack of success (trophy wise) over the last few years.
12th man plays a huge part in the outcome of a game. When they're constantly playing for the other side it has an adverse affect. People go on about determination but often its up to the fans to give our players a lift.
It's no coincidence that last year we were performing much better away from home. Our players heads drop at home because of the negativity from the fans.
I agree. Can't believe there has been booing in a pre-season tournament. Results are meaningless, in my opinion, at this stage. Fitness is all that matters. If Cesc is seriously considering his future at the moment, it can't help.

As it was only a friendly the result is pretty meaningless but it does set the bar for the rest of the season. It's not brilliant to start off on a negative foot.
Onwards and upwards hopefully
Let's hope so Little_Red_Gunner.
We'll be alright. We have mental strength

It's ok your preseason could be worse, try getting played off the park by Hull and Galatasaray and watching Poulsen play in the shirt of the club you love .
