Considering the houghton escapade I would be more inclined to believe Barton, Enrique, Noble, etc than your owner and certainly what happened with Carroll would sway me esp as the money for players has not come forward and the old gaurd that kept you in the prem have been sold off or told they will be paid less.

Not aking sides its your club but I have stood on the terraces many a time when I was at the poly in Newcastle so have a soft spot for the club and the area.

I think its ashley trying to get things done on the cheap tbh and since they cancelled talks with Barton have been looking for an opportunity to dump him..
No matter Joeys past the one thing he did at City and has done at Newcastle is support the views of the fans over that of management. You might not like that view, I know a few city supporters didnt but I certainly believe it to be true

I agree with getting rid of Bar£ton but why let him go on a free? Makes no sense, except of course getting him out of the club as early as possible.
