We shall not, we shall not be moved.
Stop being so defeatist you s 2-1 United!
4-0 to United.
2 for Van persie, 1 for Rooney and 1 from Giggs.
That's the way I dreamt it last night anyway.....
I'm quite liking (although not sure if my heart will take it!) the 3-2 to United that Billy Hill are offering at 34:1!!!
Tense enough tonight without dropping money on it
Man utd 7-1 Real madrid Ronaldo with all 8
On a serious note a 0-0 or a 1-0 will do me.
On a serious note a 0-0 or a 1-0 will do me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I can see it being very similar to our second leg against Barca in 2008. We'll sit deep and deny them space and try and hit on the counter. Worked a treat that night.
Really can't see a 0-0 at all. For a start, we haven't drawn 0-0 for something like 70 odd games, probably longer at home. Then you have to take in to account that 2 of the top sets of attacking players are on the same pitch and it is very unlikely that no one will score.
Although I did only glance at that as I went past on the bus - probably a 'to score first' in that as well, do you think, at those odds?
Why can't it be half 7 now Today is dragging already!
Jay MUFC if de gea is on form we can. he had a nap last game against Norwich
I know that it is unlikely we keep a clean sheet considering mourinho sides always score away from home.
.............................
Manchester United have progressed in 17 of 19 European Cup knockout ties in which they have avoided defeat in a first leg away from home
Real Madrid have scored in every Champions League away game under Mourinho — 27 in 15 games.
Jay MUFC I hope man utd win but lets not forget there is a lot of games left to win before being able to win it. There are 5 games left after today to navigate.
I really, really, really hope we score first. Although, look at some of the earlier games this season - conceding early in the first half has spurred us on to win in most cases.
Having said that though, Madrid are not 'most cases' and I should hope we don't need any spurring on as it is!!!
I would be happy if it is 0-0 at half time.
I should hope that there is no way in hell we get a 1 goal lead and then sit on it, something which has happened far, far too much this season. This is Madrid, we need to keep the pressure on even if we take a lead.
jay MUFC I would like us to sit on it and hit them on the break. Real madrid have to many good players who can counter and if we sit deep we can block more 30 yd ronaldo shots.
I reckon man uitd will spring on real madrid, saf must have thought from 1st leg that sitting deep and waiting for real madrid is like playing them at there own game.
Lets not forget we have the lead, they have to force the goal first so if we play on the counter which I exoetc its no shame. 10-11 season solid base got us through to final.
3-1 united Rooney hat trick
0-0!! After all the hype it will be a bore draw....and that will do nicely
wow:
"Since losing 1-0 to Milan in Feb 2005, Man Utd have won 13 and drawn one of their 14 CL knockout games at Old Trafford."
I have a sinking feeling real will score in the first 5 mins. Real will go into the half at 2-0. United will pull it back with some of the best football we have seen but tie the game 3-3.
old friend that is a very unrealistic thing to happen.
