Uh don't do this as we will jinx it
Going for same thing as i did on my match preview for the Wednesday game and just hoping for a win.
I don't think this is necessarily going to be a straightforward win. Ipswich are a little bit more organised and have had good recent wins against Leicester and Blackpool. Their leaky defence appears to have been plugged. A result similiar to last weekends against SW would be great - but don't count on them not scoring (although it's good that McGoldrick is ineligible).
Is that downplaying it enough SBD/SBS?
Oh, and 20,280 attendance. 20,000 home and 280 away (1 more than the usual sheep away contingent, reflecting the tractors boys greater commitment to the cause - depsite the greater travel inconvienience)
A high scoring draw, or then again perhaps we're good enough at home to nick it by an extra goal!
It's hold onto your seats time!
Absolutely guarantee that McGoldrick will score. I think this'll be a draw myself. Ipswich should not be so low down in the league and this will be a real test. They're a much better side than Hudders and Charlton. Probably similar to Wednesday so let's not get too cocky as SBD says, don't jinx it.
Hang on, can McGoldrick even play????
Ha, no he can't so maybe not so much of a guarantee!
Talking to yourself is the first sign of madness. I don't think we'll win tonight - I'm going 1-1 - but we will beat wolves, so this might be a disaster.
Caniggia, McGoldrick can't play but don't worry, Chamberpot will score for Ipswich, that is guaranteed. The curse of the not-very-good-ex-player-scoring-against-us-on-their-return will continue.
McGoldrick has done pretty well away from the City Ground. I wonder if Billy will bring him back for next season. Chambers had one very good season for us but he was never a top championship defender. I'm not sure we have a top quality CB in the club right now. Ward has looked better, Halford is average, Collins is inconsistent. Ayala has barely played and Hutchinson is made of glass.
McGoldrick's deal is subject to an 'option to purchase' in favour of Ipswich. Not sure what the option price is, but consider it unlikely it will not be implemented (unless he gets seriously crocked towards the end of the season).
Therefore, whether BD wants he back is largely irrelevant.
"McGoldrick has done pretty well away from the City Ground. I wonder if Billy will bring him back for next season."
I doubt it, McGoldrick hasn't merited a place in the first team, and he hasn't really done anything to change that. At Coventry he was OK but the move back to the Championship has seen him dry up again.
BD could be given the chance to bring in "stellar" signings in Summer (finally!), which would further relegate McG down the order.
A run of games with the same players would do wonders for our defence, because we've constantly had to chop and change, and I wouldn't be surprised if they are still getting to know each other!
So in summing up, 1-1.
Isn't McGoldrick out of contract in the summer and available on a Bosman free?
He did more than OK at Cov - he was banging them in, albeit at a lower level. And he's done quite well at Ipswich. I don't want him back, I just wonder whether Billy might, seeing as he was one of his favourites a few seasons back.
2-1 Forest. (Hopefully)

McGoldrick is out of contract at the end of the season. He's signed a pre-contract at Ipswich for two years i believe.
Nobody feeling my 3-0 either?
I'm not really one for getting over confidant, but we do owe the bent nose yorkshire pudding one.
On a side note......isn't it nice not having every Forest thread hijacked by the sheep molesters.
Home win for the super reds..2-0..Andy Reid and Cox to score.
Attendance 21,917.
COYR!!
Does my contribution count as a correct prediction with regard to the score?
Think, at least, I was closest with the attendance - but is that right, with the 1,000 away fans? Impressive, if so.
