Think we'll have to play pretty much like the away team.
Let Swansea have all the ball, and attack quick on the break.
Pack the midfield. Wingers selected MUST help the full backs as Swansea will look to get in behind from out wide...
Foster
Reid McAuley Olsson Ridgewell
Yacob Mulumbu
Thomas Morrison Brunt
Lukaku
Subs ; Myhill, Tamas, Popov, Fortunè, Dorrans, Odemwingie, Long
WBA 1-1 Swansea.
I will go with your team and subs, JH.
Please, Steve Clarke, no more Markus Rosenberg.
I think we will lose this game. Swansea will have too much for us.
If we win or draw, I will be amazed.
Prediction: 0-2 or 1-3.
You'd be amazed if we win or draw?
We're playing Swansea City not Barcelona mate.
They're a good team, granted but were almost on identical points/position in the league and we can beat anyone on our day.
They're beaten us pretty comfortably the last three times we've played them. They play us at own our game, trying to play football. If we win on Saturday, I will be the first hold my hand up, but I have to tell you I'm not confident at all. You've only gone for the draw yourself.
2012-13 Away 0-3, Home - - -
2011-12 Away 0-3, Home 1-2
Oops , this season's Away result was 1-3.
Yes I've gone for a draw. I certainly won't be 'amazed' if we win.
We'll of just beaten a team that we're jostling position with.
You asked for my thoughts. I've given you them.
We obviously have differing opinions on Saturdays opponents
Should be a good game anyway. Swans always bring a good crowd down. I think we're probably their most local game this year.
Yes, one thing you can say about Swansea is they try to play the right way. Not like Stoke. Now that is one away game I am looking forward to - and I predict we will win that.
You getting to grips with this board aries?
Our arrival has spurred a few to follow and comment I think which is good.
Good having fans from teams that are actually in our league on here
I've always liked these boards. Could do with more fans of other teams, but it's still better than 12 Yards - that was just us and Wolves.
I won't be amazed if we win this one but I do agree with aries. Swansea seem to be a team that have our number. Maybe we should just do something mad and unleash Long, Lukaku and Odem on them from the off lol. Not a game I'm looking forward to but if we're close to our best we can get a positive result COYB
I'm with Aries on this one. Swansea could end up being our new bogey team. And it's all JPs fault!
Not sure about your logic there Baloney.
Does that mean therefore we should praise JP for our being QPR's,Sunderland's, and Liverpool's bogey teams as well?
No! He's a penny pinching fool! And Mulumbu's a headless chicken! And Dan Ashworth is an idiot! And Chris Lepowski is clueless! And Roy Hodgson is a yes man!
Long, Yacob, Olsson and Brunt have all missed training this week.
All except Brunt expected to take part in tomorrow's session though
Brunt doubtful for Saturday.

never tire of this
I'd take a draw, Long has to play the try and pressure those Swansea cbs who love to keep the ball.
Despite our I proved status in recent seasons I still worry when we play the likes of Swansea, who as Aries says, play it the right way.
I just wish we'd bought Michu when we had the chance
That should have said improved - why can't you edit your own posts -arrrgggghhhhh
@ChrisLepkowski
Sam Byram and Ben Marshall both checked out by Clarke yesterday. Both been watched previously by #wba staff.
JH, interesting. Both very young too. We better watch out we don't lose out to Wolves, you know what they're like with their 'young and hungry' policy. Massive club, Wolves.
Stairs, you can use Preview before pressing Send.
Yes, Michu is one of the finds of the season. I wish we had Stephane Sessegnon too. Late twenties now but usually really good and troublesome to defenders, and scores goals.
@chrislepkowski
Long has aggravated ankle. Doubtful for Saturday. Brunt is back #wba
@ChrisLepkowski
Brief highlights from #wba accounts: Turnover of £66.6m year ended 30Jun12 - which compares to £59.4m (for , note10 MONTHS, pre 30Jun11)
#wba made an operating profit of £6.5m BEFORE player amortisation/trading taken into account. After amortisation/trading, profit is £1.44m
Regarding #wba £66.6m turnover - £49.9m was media related activities, £7.9m was gate receipts, £5.6m commercial income, £2.6m merchandising
4:26pm - 7 Mar 13
Also a figure of £683,000 'UEFA solidarity and prize money' going towards that £66.6m #wba
Correction to earlier figure: Turnover is in fact £66.66m - so it's £66.7m, not £66.6m. #wba
@Baggieglenn Wage bill is £44.9m - but that includes ALL WBA staff
For those asking the £683k WBA received from UEFA as 'solidarity and prize money' is reward given to clubs not involved in European comps
5:39pm - 7 Mar 13
Sounds about right. Looking at the worst case scenario of relegation, and the players take a 50% wage cut, I reckon we'd still be alright.
66.7 total income including Sky money
45.0 take off Sky money
21.7 revised income
16.0 1st year parachute payment
37.7 total income in the Championship
24.9 salaries and wages (players wages' cut by 50%)
12.8 revised profit before operating costs, player trading etc
There'd be some downward movement in commercial income, gate receipts and merchandising, but that's pocket money.
Then we'd probably go straight back up again as we normally do.
Once thing's for certain - we won't do a Wolves.
better not say that for sure, remember the last guy that said something similar?
what a mug
