"Their affection still remains but for one reason or another (and that may be price, or weather, convenience etc) they may choose to attend some games and not others"

Phew, what a relief. I was beginning to think that they might be fickle! It's obviously completely different. Thanks for putting the record straight.

Caniggia, too scared to live in Nottingham?

-----------
A little
-----------------

What, and 7000 extra happened to be there on the Tuesday Huddersfield came to town, and it was nothing to do with the cheap tickets..?

----------------

Of course it had something to do with the price for some, if not, most of them. But that doesn't make them fickle. If they choose not to support Forest anymore because we aren't winning European cups then they would be fickle.

Vidal - any time you need help let me know.

I DO need help, Caniggia. In the hypothetical situation where there MIGHT be fickleness amongst the current crop of Forest fans, how would this manifest itself if not by only bothering to watch when it is extremely cheap to do so? How would we be able to tell when fickleness reared its nasty head? You would think "loyal" fans would be there pretty much every game, and "fickle" fans only from time to time, but apparently not according to you. Can you see where I am coming from? Is there a different word other than "fickle" that appeals to you more? Selective? Capricious? "Part-time"?

More Derby fans attend Derby matches, Strett, than our fickle counterparts down the A52

-----------

666, et al...

Forest's average (home and away) is 24644
Derby's average (home and away) is 24607
Leicester's average (home and away) is 23520

QED

Hope this helps

How can Derby fans call us FICKLE?

9 points. Look at the league table please.

It seems you've got yourselves carried away after you sneaked a draw at Cardiff.

Booing Sammon in your own ground, BEFORE he steps up to take a penalty that would've seen you pick up a result. Shocking support.

Calling for Nigel Clough to go every week.

I would hate to be Derby. Enjoy another mediocre season. Enjoy the same cycle every season. Enjoy selling your youngsters. Enjoy being a selling club.

No ambition.

Whilst you look at your neighbours picking up 4 wins in a row. Grinding out wins and slaughtering.

You can laugh at Cox all you want, but our brilliant support is willing him on to score every week, which he will. Yours? Booing as he picks up the ball to take a penalty.

You couldn't make it up.

Vidal, yes I can see where you're coming from. My answer is that I don't believe that choosing to go to a game because it's cheaper makes a fan fickle. It makes them financially conscious. If they don't go to games that cost more, are you saying they aren't real fans? Being a loyal fan doesn't mean you have to watch every game. What if you can't afford it, or you're on holiday, or ill? You're still loyal to your team.

If you want to have a go at fans that are more likely to go to a game when it's cheap then you could call them scrimpers.

I'm fairly sure those two statements are facts - at least in your case 666.

It's an unbalanced comparison though, Strett, considering that we have not played the same oppo home and away yet.

There's an argument to ask why, if you say you have 'more supporters going', your home support is so low compared to most other clubs, and especially ours..?

Have your fans realised that money spent on tickets for the City Ground matches goes to NFFC, and money spent at other grounds does not..?

Why the stay away? Or is that your grasp of the English language is as flimsy as it is of maths, and you in fact meant to state that 'more Forest matches are attended more often by a greater number of fans'?

The evidence is clear; we have more fans than you. We have a bigger ground than you. You have 7000 fickle supporters.

Booing Sammon before he stepped up to take a peno, your own fans have said that. So that's another thing we can call fact.

666,

Nice for you to take a break from slating Clough to try and put a stern defence up for your club, but you know yourself it's looking very, very glum

posted on 6/3/13

What does "9 points" mean? How is that a "fact"?

I do NOT call for Clough to go every week, and you'll find that to be true if you trawl my posts.

Spotty, not as glum as for Forest when FFP bites. I would suspect the £12M/year losses in the Doughty era will be dwarfed by the profligacy of the current regime.

Not every week then. But a lot.

9 points ahead of you. That's fact. We were a laughing stock a few weeks ago, surely it's humiliating that you're so far from us now.

Enjoy your no ambition club.

I'm not sad enough to trawl through posts unlike some. But come on, you must criticise Clough every day on here. Or perhaps you think he's rubbish but want him to stay?

posted on 6/3/13

Owd Strett's including the away attendances, i.e. other team's attendances.

Just when you thought he couldn't get any thicker!

For home attendances Derby continue to attract greater numbers of home supporters than Forest, DESPITE King Fawaz pumping in his millions, attracting world-class players from around the globe, unfettered optimism about the undeniable FACT that Forest are heading immediately back into the big time and despite the return of LEGEND Billy Davies to universal and unbridled rejoicing. Derby, despite apparently stagnating, going nowhere and being just the other side of tedium continue to out-do Forest! Who'd a thunk it?

I do criticise him most days on here, but I went in holiday in December for a month so it can't be a fact that I do it every week.

At a guess.. I would think that in total (and this is a guess) so if you know where to find the figures look it up. I would think Derby have had about 20,000.00 more through the turnstiles at home.

Compare that to last year and I bet you were streets ahead. Fickle fans? That's your lot ... not renewing season tickets even when Nigel buys a star striker from the Prem
