I have absolutely zero memories of watching Larsson

Dont remember the lob over klos in the 6-2 game? Wouldnt blame ye if you've blocked it from your memory

Chuman - Believe it or not, I listened to that game on the radio, we were 3-0 down after 12 minutes and I have never seen any of the goals, even the Rangers ones. Couldn't even tell you who scored for us, Gio maybe get one did he? I have no idea.

Larsson Played: 772 Goals: 434
Laudrup Played: 412 Goals: 100

Both created a huge amount of goals for the forwards around them.

But as you can see, Larsson was far more effective.

SInce when was Laudrup a striker?

Gazza is an odd one - Good player, but my memories of his "era" at Ibrox was of us beating Rangers several times, usually at crucial points of the season.

Both were great.

If im being honest, i would give the edge just to Larsson.

1. Larsson
2. Laudrup
3. Gazza
4. Van B
5. Lubo
6. Mols

"IN all honesty - I have absolutely zero memories of watching Larsson. I have loads of glorious memories watching Lauders (9IAR clinching goal to name but one). Therefore it stands to reason that I would say Laudrup is better and you idiots would say Larsson was better."

You've just proved that your opinion is not worth a fck in comparing these two players ya dafty! "

Its funny when ever these types of comparisons are made anywhere not just here it is only attacking players who ever seem to get a mention
The old adage about be an forward if you can did not come about for nothing. For example everyone remembers for life a mistake a defender made that cost but every time he makes a great clearance its just part of his job. Take the reverse every time a goal is scored its celebration time and you can times that by ten if it won something . Sure there are always times where a sitter was missed at the wrong time but on the whole it pans out as I said.

Adversely then who is the best non forward player to have played in the SPL.
Those that come to mind would include Gatuso, Lennon,Lambert,Albertz, Wanyama,Ferguson from midfield. Boumsong, Balde,Valharren (sp),Cueller, Amaruso.DeBour,Malby(sp) (WTF happened to Johnstone, O'Niell etc ) come to mind as defenders.
Just human nature I guess that it is the guys who are at the glory end that get get the most attention. Obviously you cant win if you dont score goals but is also true that if you dont concede you cant loose

Wee PS to the above any team with a really strong defence allows the forwards confidence to push forward. Aint going on nothing but mentally flashing through great teams in my mind but reckon it would stand the stats test

Anyone who answers Larsson is correct. Well done.

Anyone who answers Laudrup is incorrect. Hard luck.

Anyone who brings Gazza into this discussion deserves a slap to the back of the face.

There have been a lot of great players that have played for Barca.

Never in their history have they been considered a team that has had a "really strong defence"

Same goes for Brazil to an extent

Laudrup was excellent at euro 92,euro 96 and France 98 and was excellent for us aswell, don't know about the other teams he played for as never seen him play for them, same with larsson etc i have seen them but have no great memory of how they played in specific games

I think Albertz was better than Gazza and laudrup for us,i think he is the best midfielder to have played in scotland since the 90's followed by Gazza and Laudrup in no particular order

i know nothing about lubo moravck other than some celtic fans saying he was good,i can't picture him

Lenny sorted that cant twice over.

Henke n Gazza are the two best players to play in scotland in the last 20years..both proved their worth at the very top level. The quiet man was a player aswell
