I have little interest in buying some pirate game they're trying to sell under one of their successful brands

I think it looks quite good, because the ship battles were one of the best parts of AC3. I've seen what could be the map, it was a big island surrounded by lots of little islands, so free roam pirate stuff.

Sad to see them really churning the series out though, would've thought they would atleast wait for the ps4/720 to come out (although it says it will be on nextgen consoles too).

last good AC game was Brotherhood, which was still a major letdown

Brotherhood was my favourite before number 3. I still think they're good games when you compare them to other games out there. It's just everyone knows what to expect and the gameplay is always the same. They just need to slow down with them and take time with their games like Rockstar / Bethesda do and make great games.
