Spurs will not bottle top 4

I think spurs winning in the Europa league could be our best chance of a top 4 finish
---------------------
This statement sums up how pathetic Arsenal FC have become. It's like the board and manager have brainwashed the fans into accepting that mediocrity is an achievement.

I don't think it shows how pathetic the fans have become, why wouldn't we want the outcome that'll best help our team? But I do think it shines a light on how pathetic the club and it's ambitions have become.
It's a truly sorry state when we are, for the second year running might I add, hoping that Spurs will do us a favour and screw up just so we can make the top four.
If we dont make then CL then so what. Hopefully this will open a few peoples eyes at the club.
It might lead to Kroenke selling up to Usmanov.
Comment removed because i think its sad that you want spurs to get tied up in the Europa and take their eye off the league, like i said Arsenal should be good enough to make top 4
Perhaps your comment just wasn't very insightful, RED?

I understand your point mate, but i used to like the good old days when Arsenal wouldn't rely on other factors and events in order to achieve something.
Besides, how can our rival team winning a prestigious european trophy be good for us? Plus i don't think their european efforts will detract from their domestic form. Winning games is contagious and this will carry through to the league games. If Liverpool fail to beat Tottenham, the 4th place trophy is over.
If Liverpool fail to beat Tottenham then we're definitely relying on Chelsea and Rafa to implode.
All a bit sad really.

But i'm right fella, Arsenal should be top 4 each year they have dropped off the pace, but shouldn't it be more a case you improve yourselves instead of Spurs failing?
Completely agree with you RED. Like i said, some fans seems to be clutching on straws like the manager.
Serial, get down off your high horse. He said he wants to finish above Spurs and that them playing more games might help us in that respect. He's not deluding himself, you're just making yourself look like a
Help us in what way? Qualify for a competition that we have no intention of winning or even strengthening the squad in order to compete in?
You seriously think our current situation can be helped by more of the same??

That's not a God given right, you need to earn it?
For the last three years Arsenal just scraped it?
No, I'm just deluded in thinking that losing our most appealing aspect, our Champions League football, will help the club
We may not be going anywhere, but who wishes for a club who save every penny as it is too lose £40 million in revenue in the hope it will make them spend all the money? It's just ridiculous thinking.
Just on a side note, I know you don't like Wenger, but I still haven't seen anyone say a reasonable replacement.
Personally I think it is terrible because when I look in the teams left I think Spurs are nailed on to win the Europa and there is no chance of us catching them. All in all AVB who was a laughing stock in August will have done more in a year with our so called inferior neighbours than our £7.5M a year manager has done in almost a decade.

Your right Its not a god given right, but for a team that has been up there for years, they should be sustaining their postion in the top 4 and going backwards, which is down to how the club is being run as buisness

I do agree with the general tone though...However, many a club go through different fortunes over the years and Arsenal are not an exception
I want Chelsea v Spurs in the Quarters or Semis. Would be the only reason to actually watch the Europa this season.

So winning the Europa is better then winning the League unbeaten or the FA cup ??
