Jenas' first league goal since Sept 09
he fudged it up due to lack of rotation and freezing out certain player

Nah, you forget that the England job carrot dangling took his mind off us and that's the slide down, I am afraid...
Still, he will always be remembered well by us (same as Martin Jol).

Ironically, Harry Redknapp is now reliant on players he didn't rate at Spurs!
Jol is by far the better manager than Harry in my opinion. Jol was on the brink of CL football with such a poor/inexperienced group of players. The players I mentioned in my previous post were all young and still learning the premier league. When Harry came, he had the luxury of players who were starting to mature.
Besides, Harry pretty much took a swipe at the fans at every possibility (Expect during his court case). I absolutely hated his post matches interviews, constantly avoiding any criticism thrown at him.
Another thing, he changed his mind about our aims when it suited him. When we were flying high 'no reason why we can't challenge for the title'. But when we were on a bad run or when we finished 5th 'this is the best they have ever had it', nothing but sweetners since I've been here.

so true !
As much as I love BMJ, I'd much rather have Redknapp if it was based on football rather than popularity.
If it was easy as Deadknee reckons we wouldn't have had such a slump from the League Cup win in Feb 2008 until October 2008. We were an absolute shambles in the first two games of 2008/09, and certainties to be relegated if Ramos stayed in my opinion. Hull, Sunderland, Villa and Wigan at home. Truly truly awful.

Harry positives :
-installed confidence into the players when he arrived
-installed hard working attitude/tracking back
Harry negatives :
-tactically poor
-apparently no coaching
-alienated players
-inconsistent in his treatment of players
-talked too much

You forgot to add, shafted the tax man.
Not sure which side of the equation that belongs though
You don't have to like the man to appreciate the good job he did here. Let's not forget Ramos and Jol got sacked for essentially ending our league season in September (Jol for the 2nd consecutive season)...Harry got us consistently challenging the top four, not just for the odd season and never over in Autumn.
Right time to go, but a little less bitterness wouldn't be so bad
How did Jol end our season in September for the 2nd consecutive season?
We'd finished 5th the season before he got sacked
If our aim was to finish in the CL places then it was ended in September. That season we finished 5th in 2006/07 we were miles behind 4th and only got up to fifth with a strong finish. We had 1 win in the first 8 I think, and Derby at that
Villa 4-4. Arsenal 3-1 at home. Everton 2-1 at home off the top of my head. Think we ended up with about 53pts....a pretty poor season really and nowhere near the CL places
Bolton Wanderers A 2 – 0
Sheffield United H 2 – 0
Everton H 0 – 2
Manchester United A 1 – 0
Fulham H 0 – 0
Liverpool A 3 – 0
We were on 4pts at the end of september
OK I was wrong...it was effectively over by mid-October, not September

MJ didn't have the money to spend the others did. He had to built a squad buying players for peanuts - many of whom formed the nucleus of the squad for years.
Townsend is doing immense, a strong contender to play on the left wing for us since Bale has now moved to the AMC role.
