I know that Terry hasn´t been playing well recently but why is Ivanovic not starting ?

Surely we need our most solid defenders for a game like this.

United are not Arsenal or Spurs and in both those games we could have ended up losing....

Two down not three due to silly defensive mistakes, after we took grip-hold of the match United could not handle/contain us.
Pressed them vigorously up the pitch Mata,Oscar and Hazard took control.

Well i disagree, playing all three away at United is asking for problems in my book, I would have played Luiz in midfield today instead of Lampard, but other than that i think the team is about right...

Cameback to 2-2(even despite going down to 9 men still dominated), unfortunate to concede Hernandez offside goal.

the point is we concede too easily when playing those three. Agst quality opposition its footballing suicide....and to be honest we should not have to play all three, two should be good enough

I don´t know the exact stats but I´m pretty sure that our win rate has been significantly higher when Luiz plays in midfield.

I find it strange that Rafa doesn´t play Luiz more often in midfield when it clearly works. Or at least works better than any other central midfield combo we´ve played in the Rafa era.

No Iva, no Terry, no Hazard, Lampard starting, Luiz at centre half. The one thing he could have done to top it off is starting Torres.

Playing all three of them against 'quality opposition' is not footballing suicide for me, the midfield and defence is the problem. But each to their own I guess.

I´m concerned by the Lampard-Ramires central partnership even though it seemed to work well against WBA.

The midfielders will need to be very disciplined positionally and I´m not sure that Ramires has that positional sense.

Could leave our back four hugely exposed.

Ramires owes us a special performance. He has been poor this season and agst City he was shameful, but he does have a great 90 minutes in his locker, let us hope it is today he gets it ou...

Also I would ceratinly have found a place in the starting line-up for Ivanovic and probaly Terry as well.

I think a better line-up today would have been:

Cech
Ivan Cahill Terry Cole
Lampard Luiz
Oscar Mata Moses
Ba

Agreed.

Ramires has been on the bigger disappointments this season and quite honestly unless there is an improvement before the end of the season I´d be tempted to show him the door this summer.

Among one or two others.
