How about Brian McDermott on loan?
We will be virtually relegated by the end of the month.
May as well save the loan money, and put it toward the new players needed next year ?
Do you not think ?
i dunno Steve it's your money

I couldn’t help but compare the decision to sack McDermott with your calls for MM to be sacked in our first year in the Prem.
Oh well I’m sure he had taken them as far as he could and they’ll now move onto bigger and better things like Southampton have.
I quite like McDermott not sure what Reading were expecting this season. Same as Southampton
Thought we went in for McDermott when MM was sacked?
Apparently there aren’t just moron fans out there Tino that think a promoted team should stroll to Prem survival there are also moron chairmen who think the same.
Team I hope go down this season now are:
QPR
Southampton
Reading
Sack Deano and get Mcdermott in.......how much will that cost ???
We did Tara and he showed loyalty to his club.
Can understand the other two but why Reading?
Morning tats.
Maybe if we'd sacked MM in our first season, we'd be a consolidated Premiership club like Stoke, WBA and a few others, instead of fighting relegation yet again in a lower league.
Food for thought, don't you think?
For sacking McDermott Tara. He got them where they are he should have been given the opportunity to finish what he’d started.
Sunny so you agree with Reading's decision?
I don't support Reading tats, so they can do what they like. It's not for me to say whether they were right or wrong.
Now when it comes to Wolves, that's a different matter all together.
witts - the ultimate question swerver....ever thought of a career in politics
Why comment on a thread about his sacking and then dodge the question of whether his sacking was correct or not?
I have done the sums, Steve, and I must say that we would be better off sticking with Dean. He knows League One better than McDermott and would not command any sort of wage that might threaten my bonus this year.

if's, but's, maybe's
swap MM for Dave Jones....
You never know...
on another note, if West Brom (and only if) are consolidated then it took years and years of going up and down. Correct me if I am wrong. One or two successful seasons does not mean consolidation. Stoke are there just about and look at the money they have spent! Their salaries must be collossal too. Give MM all the money stoke have had and lets say 4 years of experience, you don't reckon he'd be where they are or better?
Pulis is not a smart man, LOOK AT HIM.
McDermott had clearly taken Reading as far as he could, and they look likely to be relegated in their first season back in the Prem, and WITSS wants him here. Meanwhile, the far more successful McCarthy, he doesn't rate. Inconsistency, yet again.

Totally agree, tatter
Of Reading's nine remaining games, four are against Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City, so that leaves five games to save their sorry árses. The players will be totally demoralised right now, and they won't survive.
Butey. My remark about getting McDermott here on loan was purely tongue in cheek and was in response to the OP's article.
You and tats have jumped on the nit-picking band wagon yet again. It was supposed to be taken in a light hearted manner. Do you have a sense of humour at all?
As for not answering tatter's question Tino. What am I supposed to say? What Reading do is their business and they can do what they like as far as I'm concerned.
What would be your answer to his question then? You too Butey.
