That's why he had the !!!! after his name.

My three would be Martinez, Clarke and Lennon after his showing in the CL.

Martinez?

Going after LFC's cast aways I see.

Red.

Last week you were adamant he was never offered the job.....which is it now?

posted on 13/3/13

Exactly... he was spoken to, but deemed not good enough.

posted on 13/3/13

you can refer to him as Tom Hanks. Castaway by the Reds.

posted on 13/3/13

Well no need for you here then....ta-tar!

posted on 13/3/13

Ahhh... don't get precious.. You've got some candidates that weren't rejected by the reds.

I understand it was Martinez who rejected the job. He didn't want to be a yes man.

Liverpool are a Martinez cast off.

My hope is that DM continues, but there are a growing numbers of young hungry managers who play good football who would be a good fit for EFC.

It's good to have the conversations like this, but far too early to make a serious call.

He didnt want the job? Why did he fly out to Miami then?

He was never offered the job.

Castaway Martinez the new Everton manager?

posted on 13/3/13

He went to let the owners know he was not prepared to be a yes man and use the private jet laid on to take the wife shopping.

Not as silly as you think really

At the time Dave Whelan was very bullish about Martinez having turned the job down. Given Liverpool didn't come out and contradict that statement suggests its true. Martinez has too much class to open his mouth on the issue.

He wasn't offered it.

Dave Whelans mouth being quoted?!

I'll give it a go, how hard can it be?

Whelan comes out and says he rejected Liverpool. Liver pool say nothing as confirming it will make them look daft

posted on 13/3/13

Maybe Martinez turned it down because he wanted to be a football manager not a reality tv 'star'. Maybe he is a man of substance and what Liverpool needed was an arrogant plastic vacuous ....

posted on 13/3/13

Who knows! All we know is Martinez hasn't come out and said anything it's Dave "Alex ferguson will retire in 2 years" Whelan!

Martinez's team battered you lot, doubt even an LFC cast away would touch Everton

You turned over by Oldam,or have you forgotten about that?

posted on 13/3/13

What's that got to do with Martinez? Or this article?

What's that got to do with Martinez?

You're have a pop because Wigan turned us over, I just thought I'd let you know about your clubs failures this season. Liverpool are the only team in Merseyside to be turned over by The Latics.

Red.

Where is the official statement from Liverpool saying Martinez wasn't offered the job?

When has come out as Chairman to say he turned it down.

So you are guessing at something

posted on 13/3/13

Dreaming red, why wouldn't Liverpool come out and say it was rubbish!?!

Anyway, moronic, delusional reds aside I flipping hope it isn't McLaren, Adkins, poyet. thanks to Davey we are in a different position now than we were when looking for Walter's replacement. Unfortunately though we are still skint so. Can't see us attracting a top topmanager

I would take Martinez or Clarke....Lennon would be the dark horse with moyes ending up at Celtic?
